IHS Class of ’94 Set

It all started off on a BBM group in 2013, after a get together by a few determined men and women considered as the founding members of the association at a restaurant. The Founding members and their pictures at the meeting with a picture gallery of the very first reunion can be seen below:

  • Donald Eboigbe
  • Folagbade Azeez
  • Sade Sonaike (Nee Adebulugbe)
  • Kalu Balogun
  • Tega Okandeji (Nee Edokpolor)
  • Mojisola Obasi (Nee Ayoade)
  • Kevin Soje
  • Kenneth Asiegbu
  • Aniedi Ntia
  • Ugonna Okpala

A meeting/reunion held by these few members at a fast-food joint back in 2015 gave birth to the more organized and constituted association known as Ikeja high School Class of 95 Association we have today. The group officially started off with 20 members in 2015 with Folagbade and Sade Adebulugbe as administrators, while Donald Eboigbe and Ibraheem Adeneye who also joined the team of administrators were instrumental in bringing most members to the forum. Shortly after setting up the WhatsApp group that year, there was a plan to reunite all members by organizing the very first mega reunion party. An event that will forever be remembered by many as the unifying occasion that attracted several other members within Nigeria and across the globe.

In 2020, the need to have a constituted leadership became imperative for the association as divergent opinions over issues began to threaten the continuous existence of the association. A year that was also considered the right and an appropriate time to elect the very first executive team that would oversee the daily running of the association and handle all local and international related activities. The inaugural election was organized by the administrators between 22nd July to 24th July 2020 with the result announced on July 25, 2020. This election produced the very first team of executive who were immediately sworn in on July 26, 2020 after presenting each elected officer with his certificate of return.

  • A reunion party was also organized to reunite members after 20 years in 2015. The group considered it necessary at the time to organize a get together to foster relationship among our members and get to know one another better. On November 27, 2021, the association had it’s second reunion party, which was graced by the former Principal of IHS, Mr. Olasoji and teachers.
  • Also notable among the group’s achievements is the organization of its very first election to elect executives to steer the leadership of the Association. The various committees and their functions are clearly stated in the newly drafted Association’s constitution.
